Abstract: Uberization of education: implications for the future of Higher Education in Brazil. This article discusses the challenges and opportunities of the future of Higher Education in Brazil, due to the increasing implementation of technologies in educational processes. The study was grounded on scenarios about Higher Education in the country and issues involving platformization/uberization of education based on data collected in focus groups of university staff and Professors from public and private Brazilian universities. It is inferred that digital technology platforms implementation in education is a current reality and starts to change management, teaching and learning strategies, which implies the need to update public policies and educational policies to guarantee university autonomy, professor’s academic freedom, enpowerment of trained professionals and the development of scientific research to consolidate necessary knowledges to society.
